Day 2: Still Good

Day two is in the books, and I’m still feeling pretty good. I had to go to school to work for a little bit today, and on my drive home, I always pass a Chick-fil-A (and a McDonald’s and a Whataburger…). I daydreamt about how tasty a strawberry shake from Chick-fil-A would be (seriously my favorite), but then the feeling passed, and of course, now that I’m typing about it, I’m thinking of it again. *sigh*

And for today’s food…

Breakfast – 9:30 am

  • Leftover spaghetti squash with meat sauce and a fried egg on top

  • 1 slice of Pederson’s Whole30-approved bacon

  • Side note: I purchased this bacon at HEB a few months back and had stored it in the freezer until now! It was the only thing in my freezer that wasn’t freezer burnt.

Lunch – 1:30 pm

  • Leftover protein salad over a bed of spinach, topped with Tessemae’s ranch

  • Fruit medley (pineapple, red grapes, green grapes, strawberries)

The fruit medley came from a local grocery store and had cheese in the 4th compartment. I didn’t even want the cheese – woo!

Snack – 5:30 pm

  • Mixed Berry RXBAR

  • Passionfruit La Croix

Have I mentioned how much water I’ve been drinking already?!

Dinner – 8:40 pm

  • Grass-fed beef burger (from Trader Joe's freezer aisle) with Tessemae's Whole30-approved organic ketchup

  • This ketchup does not taste like "normal" ketchup. That's what happens when you don't add sugar.

  • Roasted broccoli with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic salt

  • Sauteed mushrooms and green beans with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic salt

I was not feeling too energized for exercise today, but I did do a quick 10-minute ab video. I'm definitely going to the gym tomorrow.

Later!
