My Whole30 officially starts tomorrow (oh shit...), so naturally I spent more time than I would care to admit planning for my first meals and grocery store trip. I've found meal inspiration from some of these places: The Whole30 book, The Whole30 Cookbook, my own brain, Pinterest, and this Instagram feed.

(Quick note: I don't plan to post full recipes on here because #copyrightinfringement, but if it's a free recipe from Pinterest, the Instagram feed, or my brain, I'll totally share it with you.)

ANYWAY.

Here is what one very important piece of printer paper looked like after my laborious planning efforts.

Meal Plan: Days 1-5

(We'll see how closely I stick to the plan. Knowing myself, I am not going to want to eat chicken w/ Brussels sprouts by the time Saturday night rolls around.)

Also, the snacks aren't necessarily meant for a particular day. It's just recommended to have some snacks on hand during the first week since you're supposed to be hungrier than normal.

The next important piece of paper was the actual grocery list. I can't even remember the last time I went into a grocery store without a list. Once I realized how much food (aka $) I was wasting when I would aimlessly wander around the aisles, I became a firm list-user.

Grocery List: Days 1-5

As you can see, I didn't have enough space on my list for the amount of vegetables I bought.

Finally, we have the groceries! I went to Trader Joe's and Kroger. I got the majority of my groceries from Trader Joe's and spent around $83, which definitely gave me the biggest bang for my buck. I spent about $62 at Kroger.

Now it's time to get some meal prepping done for Day 1 tomorrow!

Since Whole30 starts tomorrow, I'll be posting a lot more frequently. My goal is to post every day of the Whole30 to provide a recap of the day. These posts will more than likely happen after I've finished eating for the day, so you can expect to see them in evenings.

That's it for now!
